Day 1 : Arrival in Moshi & Pre-Trek Briefing
Arrive in Moshi and check into your hotel. Meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing covering safety, route details, and equipment. Overnight at Moshi/Arusha hotel.
Day 2 : Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Distance: 8 km | Duration: 4–5 hours
Begin your trek at the Marangu Gate, entering the lush rainforest zone. Spot exotic birds and vegetation as you ascend gradually to Mandara Hut (2,700m). Overnight in hut accommodation.
Day 3 : Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Distance: 12 km | Duration: 6–7 hours
Continue through the Moorland Zone, witnessing unique flora like giant groundsels. Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,720m) and rest for the night. This day aids acclimatization.
Day 4 : Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Distance: 11 km | Duration: 6–7 hours
Trek through alpine desert landscapes as you ascend to Kibo Hut (4,700m). Enjoy panoramic views and prepare for the final summit push. Overnight at Kibo Hut.
Day 5 : Summit Uhuru Peak & Descend to Marangu Gate
Distance: 18 km | Duration: 12–14 hours
Begin the pre-dawn ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Celebrate at the summit with breathtaking views before descending via Horombo Hut and finally to Marangu Gate. Transfer back to Moshi for rest or departure.
